Description
3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid is a metabolite of polyphenols such as phloretin and quercetin. It is also a phenolic acid antioxidant present in fruits, vegetables and nuts. Further, it is found to be an efficacious chemopreventive agent in several carcinogenesis models. In addition to this, it acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.

AplicacionesEl ácido 3,4-dihidroxibenzoico es un metabolito de polifenoles como la floretina y la quercetina. También es un antioxidante de ácido fenólico presente en frutas, verduras y frutos secos. Además, se ha determinado que es un agente quimiopreventivo eficaz en varios modelos de carcinogénesis. Asimismo, actúa como agente antinflamatorio.
