Descripción
Tri-n-butyltin hydride is used as a radical reagent in reductive cleavage, radical dehalogenation and intramolecular radical cyclization. It also promotes intramolecular cyclization leading to isoxazolo-benzaulene ring system. Further, it acts as a reducing agent for the conversion of alkyl halides to hydrocarbons. In addition to this, it is used in a veterinary anthelmintic for poultry and an intermediate to make other butyltin compounds.

AplicacionesEl hidruro de tri-n-butilestaño se utiliza como reactivo radical en la fragmentación reductiva, la deshalogenación radical y la ciclación de radicales intramoleculares. También promueve la ciclación intramolecular que conduce al sistema de anillo de isoxazol-benzauleno. Además, actúa como agente reductor en la conversión de haluros de alquilo en hidrocarburos. Asimismo, se utiliza en un antihelmíntico veterinario para aves de corral y como intermediario para crear otros compuestos de butilestaño.

No miscible con agua.
Notas
Sensible al aire y la humedad. Almacenar en lugar fresco. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes y ácidos.
